Project HEY

This cross-border initiative of the AGES Association aimed to establish an efficient and sustainable link between demand and supply on the labor market in the counties of Satu Mare (Romania) and Szabolcs-Szatmar Bereg (Hungary).

The program offered solutions to problems faced by both factors of the labor market:
- the low level of schooling of disadvantaged groups,
- lack of qualified labor force,
- the lack of correlation between the educational offer and the existing needs on the labor market,
- lack of professional experience of young people,
- lack of practical skills.

By approaching some packages of complementary activities, the approach of what the workforce can offer, to the needs of employers, will be achieved.
facilitating the filling of existing vacancies in the targeted regions.

All activities have been designed in such a way as to significantly increase the chances of employment for young people by:

- increased level of information about labor market challenges;
- knowledge and skills improved by participating in career guidance,
- professional training, counseling and assistance for accessing and integrating into the labor market,
- through several types of learning and support opportunities (one-on-one direct counseling, training and information workshops, internships at companies in the 2 counties,
qualification course, advice on starting a business, etc.
